Plan and Start a New Tradition on the Next Sabbat
As a Wiccan, you have to plan and start new traditions on the next Sabbath to join the community. Although it is important that you celebrate the Sabbath according to what you think suits you best, you also need to learn about how you can take advantage of the special time. Despite the progress Wiccans have made in a short period of time, there are still many other people who disapprove of the lifestyle. However, there is no need to worry as this post will help you incorporate certain ideas that will make your holidays more special.

When the Wheel Came to Be
The Wheel of the Year is not some ancient tradition. Instead, it is a modern invention that dates back to the 20th century. This means that pagans, Wiccans, and witches can consider it a modern holiday. According to Wiccan tradition, the Wheel of the Year came into being in the 1960s. It consists of eight major holidays that were first celebrated to bring about cohesion in the Wiccan community.
Personalize the Holidays
To plan and start new tradition on the next Sabbath, it is vital that you personalize the holidays. Once you have realized that the eight Sabbath are not an ancient tradition, you will come to realize that it is not taboo or some great sin. This is why you should incorporate the holidays into your life and celebrate them without worrying about your belief system.

The essence of the holidays is linked to cultural traditional and local seasons. For instance, it does not make any sense to celebrate the start of spring if you live in the North and have not come across any flowers blooming. Similarly, Yule traditions do not make sense for those living in the South.

Pair Sabbath with Traditional Holidays
When you come to think of it, many of the Sabbaths coincide with Christian holidays. The reason behind this is that most Christian holidays added local pagan customs to easily convert pagans during early times. Therefore, you should have no trouble pairing Sabbath with traditional Christian holidays. Get decorations that are common during Christian holidays. It will prevent your neighbors from even realizing that you are celebrating Sabbath and not some Christian holiday.
Yule
One of the most important days that you need to prepare for as a Wiccan is Yule. It is the winter solstice and is celebrated by various cultures. You can easily incorporate it into your life as people are already likely to celebrate Christmas. Hence, decorating your Yule tree should not be a problem.

Beltane
Beltane can be celebrated during the first of May. You can pair the two to start the tradition. Although it is not common to see people celebrating May Day, it used to be common to see people celebrating the day back in the good old days.
Planning and starting new traditions on the next Sabbath just got a whole lot easier. You can read this post to add the holidays into your life.
